The thing with freelancing is that it is a business. You can be a graphic designer, writer or web developer by profession but because you are doing business, there are some tedious but essential tasks, you know that to set up a terrific to-do list or file a scathing tax file. However, these tasks are so important that you must do them well to succeed in your business.

1. To-do lists
The to-do list is important for making working days a manufacturer. They tell us what we need to do in a day, help us break our work into a systematic stake and we feel productive because we cross things with it. It’s of course the best case scenario. What really happens to the to-do list is that they only keep on increasing. When was the last time you were able to tick everything on your to-do list?
The ever growing list gets us filled and we feel inappropriate and unprofessional. More items added to the list, the more we are afraid. Instead of continuously working on the list of works, we end the solution.
The lists work for you, try to limit the number of items you have put on. In the late or early days, you’ll need to list the five most important things you need to do and can not add anything, no matter how much you test.
Everything the manufacturer thinks is about to cross one thing. Suddenly, you have 4 tasks instead of doing 5 tasks. Do one more task and you go down to 3. Before you know it, all the items on your list are exceeded and you are done for the day! How is it that you feel productive?
As freelancers, we are living through the timeline (and pepper). We know that there is the power to create or break a client relationship in a missed period. So yes, the deadlines keep us in business, but that is why we hate them too. One time has expired and you can end the month to improve your relationship with the client.
Approved, if you handle it correctly and missed for any valid reason, then missed time is not the end of the world. But make it a habit or do more than once and you struggle to maintain clients.
A simple trick to avoiding missing dates is to always give you a few extra days of your own. Let’s say you can submit a project on Tuesday, but instead of sending on Tuesday, you tell your client that you will submit the task on Thursday. This small tactic takes care of all your delays and any freelancing crisis (computer crash, cold and flu etc.) that can harm you.
Your own curse is the most hate and terrible task for freelancers. The complete idea to save your receipts, bill, payments from customers, expenses etc. is enough to give a headache. Then there is a filing of 1099 and all other paper work.
Even if you are the king or queen of the organization, even if you have a way to suspicious your system. You must close it until the last minute and then have to hurry to get your papers in order.

Whether it’s likely or follows with clients, activity is taking time and unwanted. You will be given more work to do instead. After all, it’s what you do best. But follow-up is essential if you want more commercial deals. If you’ve just finished a project for a client, sending a follow-up email can also give you more work, testimonials or a referral. There is a reason that it is called cold calling – it cools down the freelancers. If you’ve ever called a cold call, you know what I say. The idea of calling someone you know – Bad, which you do not know is enough to break the best of you. You end up feeling like a sledgee salesman.
Well, the call of cold calls is not to think of it as a cool call. Think of it as an introduction. Suppose you call a company, introduce yourself and ask something as simple as’ Do you work with freelancers? If so, I’d like to send you my details. ‘It does not feel bad right?
